Post subject: Periods (maybe TMI)
Can anyone tell me when you got your first period after having your baby? I've been getting tummy cramps for the last couple of days so I think my period may be coming on. However, I'm still bleeding from having Sebastian so how will I know that its my period and not the actual bleeding I've been experiencing? Question

I had only finished with the bleeding for a few days (it wasn't heavy bleeding, more of a heavy pinky discharge), then they came back with a vengence!!! Evie is 15 weeks old and I have already had 3 periods since I had her. They seem to be heavier and the first one lasted for about ten days. Had lots of cramps too.

I bled for three weeks after having my son. It should slow down to a light pinky colour so you will know when it is coming to an end hopefully. I then had my first period 6 weeks post birth and it was horrifying. It was soooo heavy and really painful. If your flow slows down then gets a lot heavier you should be able to tell its your period with a bit of luck. I hope yours is not as bad as mine was. Good luck x
