Post subject: Is maternity pay classed as earnings?
I'm filling out the family tax credits form and just wondering, for my earnings 2010-2011 is my maternity pay classed as earnings? Lost my p60 so have to give estimate until employer sorts it. Thank you!

it does count in your earnings but not the first £100 per week so if you were on mat leave for 20 weeks of the year you can deduct £2000 from your total earnings. That's how I understand it anyway.

yes i agee wih dizzylamb. its classed as an earnings but only anything over the first £100 a week so if you got £110 a week only £10 a week is classed as earnings.
