I must admit I did, you feel so silly, but you can't help it. Have you tried going to see you NHS stop smoking nurse? They have them based at the GP's surgery quite often, and they do really help.
You can give up. Set yourself a date and stop then, take each day at a time, don't beat yourself up if you have a little lapse, that doesn't mean you have started again it's just a hiccup in the process. And on the date that you choose to give up tell yourself you do not smoke, not that you are tryign to give up.

Keep strong hun, it's the toughest thing, but you can do it, if you really fell like having a cigge then send me an email instead until the craving passes.

You can do it.

hi
im still pregnant and i stopped smoking and really dont want to start again either.... just thought i would recommend a book i found usefull ..alan carr the easy way to stop smoking...
it makes you understand the addiction a bit more and really helped me..

lots luck.

also instead of spending the money on cigs plan a present for yourself for first three smoke freee days. then a week the two weeks etc. it really helped me fight the urge to smoke when friends were having one, just gave me something to focus on while i was going through the craving.
9 i smoked for 15yrs so i know is hard!)

As soon as i found out i was pregnant i was determined to quit smoking and did 3 days later. Now that i have had my son i have had a few niggles but i just think about my son and this makes me determined not to give in. I see it as what's the point in giving up whilst pregnant just to start up again and expose them to smoke and risks of the habit anyway!
