Husband and I been trying 16 months. We've recently been for fertility tests(bloods and ultrasound in my case, sa in his). My bloods came back ok-in fact I have double the amount of progesterone required to prove ovulation. Scan showed nothing bad either. My GP told me we'd need to try for 2 years before getting a referral to a specialist.

Since then, hubby's SA has come back. Volume 4.8ml amd PH 7.9 so these are ok. Also normal appearance and consistancy and liquefaction complete at 1 hour.

He has a low sperm count(9 million per ml).

Also Only 10% grade A for motility, 0 grade B, 9% grade C and 81% grade D so motility is really far lower than it should be too.

Slightly abnormal morphology, with 13% normal forms and 87% abnormal.

Anyone had something similar to this come back and not been retested? I'm a bit confused as I thought it was standard to retest?

Also, anyone had similar results to this (as in a mixture of problems come up with SA) and can you tell me whether your GP seemed quite positive about it or negative, whether they referred to a specialist and any more info they gave you about what it all means?
