Post subject: newbie saying hi Hi ladies I'm bex 28 been trying for 2 yrs, I know not that long but feels like a lifetime .
I'm in the middle of infertility tests had three months of bloods so far and I booked in for hysterosalpinogram later this month my hubby is 30 and we have found out that only 1% of his. Sperm are up to the job, but the hospital don't seem to think that's a problem at the min. I get all my results in Dec at next clinic appt. Is anyone else in the same place as me be good to have others to share with as my friends all fell on 1st go it before and don't understand what we are going tho . I understand your struggle. Didn't go through the same as you as i was the problem 
I wasn't ovulating and was refered to fertility specialist. It takes time & is frustrating waiting for app, then for results etc... Try & focus on positives. You are being seen by the right people & having all the necessary test done to help you on your way to another BFP. Fingers crossed for you. Hope all goes well with tests & outcome. Post subject: hey hun i know the feeling ive been trying nearly 3.5 which by todays standards is apparently reasonably average!!
 but i know zinc is good at improving smimmers so get ur oh on them now and dont forget it takes 3 months for new fresh sperm to be produce so they wont want to do another analysis for sometime but hopefully this will improve ur next result  good luck xx_________________  Posted: Fri Nov 18, 2011 3:48 pm

My partner's sperm is 0.9% and he has been taking mens well being tablets with zinc and we have also found that Royal jelly can help. We are at consultants Tuesday as my Ovulation is all over the place too. We have been trying 18 months I am 34 and partner 44 so bit of time pressure too. We have been told IVF with ici may only be our route however where we live and because he has another child we would have to pay. We are supposed to be getting married in April but this has thrown everything out due to the potential cost. How are things with you? Did you have your procedure? Good luck for tues fingers crossed for u. If they can help with getting u ouvlating then u never know that might just be enough to help hun . I had my hsg and got the all clear but this month cycle has only been 19 days very odd. We go back to consultant on the 13 Dec for my internal and blood results and dh lab results. I had him taking zinc but his gp told him not to bother so I will be upset if its even lower and be putting him bk on it. We live in bucks so they wont even start ivf till I hit 30 we can't afford to go private either so fingers crossed they can help . Post subject: Hi sorry didn't say what my hsg was for it a simple scan and internal they do to check my tubes where not blocked there not there both fully open so that was the 1st bit of good news they also xray it so they have the pics on file if we get offered for ivf xx

Thanks for the note. Hope you are ok? When we finally got to see the consultant on Tuesday & basically they did 2 more blood tests on me and then I have one next week followed by an ultrasound on the 4th Jan. MY OH has to have another test on 12th however the consultant said that looking at the previous results he said it is more than likely that IVF will be the only route. Our next appt is not till the end of Jan which is a bummer as everything seems so long to wait and ideally would have wanted to know before Xmas, which is me being impatient! I have so many questions e.g. what if they find something wrong with me / him, why do men have a low sperm count, can it be increased dramatically? Etc…. Anyway, trying to stay positive and carry on, like you I am surrounded by people having babies, my sister is pregnant with her second and I am so so pleased for her but I just keep thinking of the journey ahead and the unknown. Well enough self pity for one day. I really hope your appointment goes well on the 13th, got everything crossed for you. Are they doing more tests on your OH?
