Post subject: Baby "clicking" inside
A few times in this last trimester I have heard a "clicking" sound coming from inside my abdomen, exactly like when somebody cracks their joints. Has anyone else had this? I forgot to ask my midwife about it tody, but I could only think of three possible reasons;
1/ It is the sound of an air bubble being burst in the amniotic fluid
2/ It is the baby's bones clicking (hope not!)
3/ It is the internal bones or ligaments of my pelvis clicking as her head drops lower
Can anyone shed any light on it? Question Idea

Could it be hiccups?

I don't think it's hiccups because there's only ever one and the baby isn't especially "jumpy" when it happens. Hi Bunny79, remember you too! Very Happy

I have this too!! It sounds like if you click two fingernails together, it happens maybe 3-4 tomes a week and noticeable in the third trimester too. I googled it and read that a fair few people have had this but not had babies with any problems with joints. Mide does seem to be related to the babies movements rath than my own.

Good, at least I know I'm not the only one and there seems to be no risk to baby, even if we are none the wiser Thanks for the research. Very Happy

Wonder if it was related to her being back-to-back breech? Question
