Our babies surname will be 'Tait'.
For boys names we're pretty much settled on 'Frankie'. For middle names we've decided to use the names of family members sentimentally. So if a little boy arrives, unless we change our mind (I hope we don't!) it'll be Frankie Alfred Tait, Alfred being after my lovely Grandad Fred
The problem we have is settling on girls names! It's so hard to decide. Regardless of first name, middle name is going to be 'Gillian' because that's what OH's mam was called and he sadly list her to cancer this time last year. I really love the name Clio, but OH hates it because he says we may aswell put Renult in her name somewhere as well lol. We both liked Imogen and Scarlett. I think OH likes names you can't shorten.
Any ideas for girls names ladies?! We're both not too keen on traditional girls names but don't fancy super modern ones either!

Maybe you could spell it Cleo although thats really the shortened version of cleopatra I like Imogen, but when it comes to shortening names kids will find a way, my son connel gets called Con and i thought that was shortening proof xx

We're the same, had a boys name sorted but can't decide on girls and we are having a girl!! We do have 4 names but my faves are different from OH's!
One of the ladies on here has named her little girl Cleo, I think it's a really sweet name and would def spell it that way and not Clio.
Imogen is lovely but I think whatever name you choose someone will always find a way of shortening it, I've heard Immie for Imogen. But if you don't shorten it yourselves then most other people around you will follow.

Okay well Clio/Cleo is completely out of the question lol!
And OH said he doesn't mind a name that can be shortened but it depends what it's shortened too. Talk about fussy, he's not even thought of any names himself!
I like Darcey but OH doesn't like it. I like Kiera too but his nephews friend is called Kiera

I know he's nightmare! Every name I think of he tries to associate it with someone/something. Or he'll say, no I don't Luke that cos so and so's called that and she's horrible or something lol.
Anyway I got fed up because I've thought of every name so far. So I told him to pick some himself.
He's picked Molly.
Which I quite like actually Molly Tait.
What do you guys think?

My mums name is Gillian but she gets called Gilly - which is quite cute for a LO - just a thought, use his mums name as a first name instead of a middle name?
I like Molly and Cleo x

Totally agree, you'll be forever ruling names out this way. My cousin is called Alex but we see him maybe 2 or 3 times a year so we were still going to use Alexander if we were having a boy, it's a name we both love and I won't let other people around us dictate what we can/can't use.
Molly is a cute name xx _________________ After a horrible few years, life is good.

Girls names are hard. I have a boys name sorted but no girls lol
I know a Imogen and she gets called Immy.
My daughter is Elsie and when I had her the choice was between Darcey, Elsie, Cerys, Daisy and Eden
My new list for this one is
Daisy
Amelie
Betsy (but going of that)
Nellie (but going off that one)
I know a little girl called Jolie....that's cute _________________
