Breastfeeding in Public

Post subject: Breastfeeding in Public Im 19 and due in about 2 weeks, i have decided to breastfeed but i know i wouldnt feel comfortable in public, my mom says its ignorant for me to not want to breastfeed in front of my dad, but i would feel so weird, even if i was covered, is she right?

Post subject: You can breastfeed so nobody can see what you're doing , I've breastfed in a room full of people and they've not even realised, but you have to be comfortable and relaxed to actually get the let down reflex that makes your milk flow, so if you're not comfortable feeding with people around then I wouldn't , you might find once she's here and you've got into the swing of things you'll be fine with it , but I don't think it's ignorant to feel the need for privacy

Post subject: Heya, I am the biggest prude in the world! Don't even like my husband looking at my boobs lol! But once baby was here I really don't even see anything bad about it! I wear a vest top and a button up cardigan ( a nice one) lol and push down my top and up my cardy just enough for baby to latch on, no one would even know you was doing it! When your at home it doesn't matter as much! You will find ways around it! Breastfeeding is hard..extremly hard for first 2 weeks but after that it is the most amazing thing! It's so easy! Specially bight feeds lol xo

Post subject: I think that you have to feel confident enough to do it anywhere or you would just end up in the house all the time! I remember feeding my lg sat on a wall in a car park because she decided she wanted milk. It really is easy to be discreet and does feel weird at first but soon becomes second nature. Good luck x

Post subject: i think we all was the same when we start, first two weeks is hard but the it is just natural, i am still breastfeeding my baby, i breastfeed her anywhere, the way i see it if baby needs feeding then i will feed her, and boobs was made before formal milk, and it both good to you and baby, you get a special bond with baby which no one can take away, wear layers so you r covered feels more comfortable, and good luck
