Post subject: just got my bfp :) can any1 help with dates plz Hi ladies. Can Any1 help me work out how far I am as I don't see my midwife for a few weeks yet. My last period was 19th Jan to 23rd. But I actually concieved around the 26th Jan. As was only time me an my husband had sex as I was waiting to go for treatment to my cervix for an abnormal smear. If I put both dates into a due date calculator it gives me different dates so I'm just trying to work out how many week I may be. Any help would be great. Thanks xx

they normally go from the first date of your last period, mine was 29th dec so i should be 8 weeks tomorrow, but thursday i had an early scan (due to a loss back in 09) and she told me i was around 6weeks 6 days, she also said when i have my dating scan that to make sure my bladder is total full, that way they get a good date _________________  Posted: Mon Feb 20, 2012 8:19 am
Post subject: Yes they will use your last period date for now ,because the date you had sex isn't necessarily the date of conception anyway, as sperm can survive a good few days waiting for the egg
 , so even if you only had sex on say cd 8 it could have been cd 11-13 before you actually conceived the 12 weeks scans supposed to be the most accurate for dating , Congratulations xx
