I just trying to get a general idea as my lo currently goes to bed between 7pm and 8:30pm (normally closer to 7pm than later) then sleeps til 6:30am but i am not sure whether he should be going alittle earlier as he is really moaning frm 5:45pm onwards.

thankyou

Hi. Kerry has a nap from 9:00-9:45, then from 12:00-14:00 and from 15:30 to 16:30.

She goes to bed at 7pm and usually gets up at 6:30 (but this includes waking at 5:30 to play, then she dozes off again).

Maisie has always gone to bed about 7 since a few weeks old. His naps seem quite short for his age. Does he eat big meals ? he might lenghten his naps out a little and be less moody in the evening.

mine has always been put to bed between 7 - 715pm. He also has a 20 minute or so nap everyday between 5pm and 6pm which keeps him going till his bedtime bottle. He also naps for 30 minutes in the morning and 1.5 hours after dinner.

Hi. For those of you with 6 month olds, would you say they sleep an average 2 hours a day or more? I really need to stop Kerry from waking at 5am to play. If she is at creche she can sleep anywhere from 2 and half hours to 3 and half hours. At home usually only 2 and half hours.
That seems a normal amount to me. Any ideas how I can get the little madam to sleep past 5am? She isn't waking for food... Thanks. xxx

Hi sweetpea, I hope you get an answer as Charlotte is exactly the same. Infact she is waking earlier and earlier, been like this since I started weaning her at 6 months, it's driving me crazy xx

We were still lucky if we could get Jamie down by 10 at that point.

I found naps made no difference to how long Jamie slept. He'd sleep for three hours in the day if I went to bed with him but didn't sleep at night. However, if he had no nap, shorter naps, etc he still rarely went off before 10 and woke every couple of hours. I could get him to sleep in a bit in the morning if I put him in bed with me though

Maisie slept about an 45-60 mins in morning and a little longer in the afternoon at that age. I think 3 1/2 hours might be a little long - they only need about 14 hours total so that doesn't leave very long at night if she is at lower end of scale for needing sleep. You'll prob find in a few months time when she is crawling etc she will sleep better at night as she is more physically tired x
