Well we had our scan on Monday - what a disaster! Little one was lying upside down as low down as he could be and no amount of painful pushing and turning could get him to move, so we still need to see his spine, heart and feet. Everything else appears to be ok, but he is just so naughty!
It's a good job we didnt want to know the sex as she said she wouldnt have been able to tell us anyway!
We go back a week tomorrow.
Today my hubby is taking me for a mystery night away which is so lovely, we have been married a year tomorrow so what a lovely treat, although slightly marred by the fact he did a skydive yesterday and i got burned to a crisp, so wont be able to enjoy th glorious weather as much as i should!
How are you girls doing? Congrats on your second little boy Char and Noah!!
Lots of love,

Post subject: Rings getting snug
This is possibly a little bit random, but has anyone else found that their wedding rings are starting to get too tight? I really don't want to take mine off, but quite swollen hands today, partly due to the heat so hopefully they'll go down a little again. Considered putting them on a necklace so I am still wearing them but scared of losing them, also thinking about getting a cheap temporary set from Argos or somewhere to wear until I can wear them again.
Has anybody else experienced this?

no wedding ring tightness woo, but i also have a query!
On and off for the last week or so there is a small area to one side of my nipple that is exceedingly tender, to the point i am going to go to the dr about it, and i am not usually a hypochondriac, but just think this small, localised pain is very strange...
Has anyone else had this unexplained pain?@
Hope we are all well apart from that, hubby is beginning to feel the baby kick now which is amazing!

Heti sorry to hear your baby was being super shy lol...but yay you get to see him/her again let's hope the co operate a bit better next time. As for the boobs nipples..it could be that your boobs are just getting ready for the role of breastfeeding. But if it localized it's always best to get it checked out I've been getting random shouting pains in mine this past week and they are quite painful to touch again...but it's a shock type of pain
So did you enjoy your surprise from your hubby? Happy anniversary
Woowoo great to heat from you. Sorry you've not been too good. My feet and fingers have really been swelling and I'm unable to get my rings off without a struggle now. Think part cos of the heat and generally pregnancy puffyness. Last time I did put them on a chain round my neck cos my fingers looked like pork sausages near the end lol
I've been getting my little ladies clothes ready. We've got the Moses basket out and ready...think I'll be putting cot up straight away this time cos I'll need the Moses basket down stairs more this time.was we live in a much bigger house than before and don't fancy lugging it about up and down 2 flights of stairs
Chris is doing all the wipes and snappy sorting a bit closer to the time. Last time we used reusable nappys. But think I'll use disposable for the first couple of weeks then go back to reusable again
We ate also getting g the pram this month. I was going to leave it till closer to the time but the one I want is on pre order at the mo and we've also got a voucher to use too.

oooo Zee i havent heard of anyone using reusables before...are they easy? They must save you a fortune!
Yeah i kind of did just think that the boob pain would be baby related but it was the fact that it is such a small area that worried me a little - will defo go to the dr next wk! Would you do dr or midwife?!
Anniversary treat was amazing - he took me to Ruthin Castle in Wales which is the nicest place i have ever stayed in - so top marks there, then a week tomorrow we are going on our last sunshine holiday to Zante - will be skint for years after little one is here!
We have also started our nursery, we have the crib, cot, car seat, pram, bouncy chair, rocking chair and footstool for me, and John is just about to start painting the nursery after the painstaking job of taking all the woodchip off the walls and havin them replastered!
What are everyones ideas for their nursery?
Lots of love as always xxx

well... scan showed baby doing really well, and spot on for a 23rd December growth and... a GIRL! My parents were a bit disappointed at no boy, but FIL and friends are all pleased for us, as we are. Still on the name Poppy Grace as number one choice. Evie was watching her kick this morning, chatting away to her getting her to kick more.
Found out that my hosp blood appt next week is because my platelet cells are below normal, so I think they will simply monitor them, I have also been told that I have SPD so got a referral for a physio to see what can be done. I am not at work until Sept now so I am concerned about what reasonable adjustments they will make, hopefully it won't get much worse as I cannot walk far or carry much now without pain.
What are your blood pressure measurements like? so far my highest has been 100/50 - most below those and last week was the first time a MW actually commented that it was low and how was I feeling?
Well, today's exciting buys... medena breast pump (I have a prob with my nipples so cannot physically BF), an angelcare sensor mat (bargain at £45) and a bulk load of sanitary towels from Asda I have also been sorting clothes - my niece was bought designer numbers so I have claimed those.
Zee and Heti - I tried re-usables last time but failed miserably with them and sold them. I am sticking to lazy disposables this time
Heti - good luck for tomorrow. Hope the boob pain eases. I have that too - make me want to punch or pinch it hard. Always worth checking with MW esp if you are back tomorrow for a scan anyway. Our nursery will be where Evie is now, so it has farm animals over the walls (we are country folk), is yellow with a white cot / chair / changing unit. Evie will move into a different room when Oz moves his frappe from it.
woo - not had swelling... but hope it doesn't get much worse for you, and cause physical problems for you
Jeez - another essay from me again - sorry!

Congrats MrsOz on your little girl love the name poppy too. So cute that the siblings are aware, noah is going mad keeps saying babies every-time he sees one on the tele lol. Oh no spd at least ur seeing a physio. I cant wait to cut my hours down in sep roll on 6 hour days fab lol.
Heti my scan was a bit like that was in there for ages but finally managed to do his measurements. Hopefully baby will play ball next time glad you had a great anni too.
My boobs have been so tender i could cry the heat coming from them i think there inflamed lol so i do feel ur pain. Our nursery is the same so just jungle animals its the mothercare jungle theme, spent so much in there. I am so jeal ur going to zante too, we will be going down to OH parents caravan in sep in Wales.
My rings are ok, i did take them off at bedtime earlier on in pregnancy as they were puffy, my puffiness is more in my feet now.
Well i think i have been doing a bit of nesting already lol,
I have been up in my loft sorting through things for little solider No2 my god didnt realise actually how much i had. Dont need to buy no clothes although i already have. Went to mothercare brought bottles, sanitary pads, nipple pads.Noah picked him a lovely blue doggy teddy so sweet. The only thing i have to buy really is a breast pump and steriliser which i dont really need as yet as plan to BF for at least 8 weeks. Nursery is all ready, didnt really need much doing just a clean, so all clothes washed and put into draws ready.
I have been well bump finally coming on now not surprise with the amount of food i have been eating. I have seriously fallen in love with the fridge pmsl homemade soup i am craving going to do another one tomaz pmsl.
Anyone any cravings yet?
And breathe pmsl
My beautiful little men filling up my world x

Congrats on your baby girl mrsOz and poppy is such a lovely name..but then I'm biased
We're not getting any nursery ready...baby will be in with us for the first 5-6my as Oliver was and when it's time for baby to go into their own room Oliver and bubs will stay in our room and Chris and I will move into the smaller room. It makes more sense for them to have the bigger room and get all their toys in their too
In about 2-3yrs we'll be looking for a bigger place when we're in a much better financial position. Can't wait
Well I've been feeling lil miss for a few weeks now and kicks getting stronger all the time. I've been able to see bump moving from the out side but as soon as you put your hand there she goes shy. So anyway last night she was having a full on wriggly eve so Chris put his hand on the bump whilst we watched telly and although she went shy at first she gave in and Chris finally felt her wriggling and kicking. He was well cuffed that he's finally managed to catch her out lol.
So cute that the older bros and sisters are getting g Involved too..Oliver loves to sing to T (<<<<< little clue to her name there ) and she goes nuts lol she really reacts to his voice
Trying desperately not to buy anymore but it's so hard I've run out of room

Hi ladies, glad most of you are keeping really well, we had our scan yesterday and the lady was fantastic. Talked us through all the measuring bits. Kept saying how each part was fine etc really put your mind at risk. Then for the two children she did them there own picture with their name then it said love from baby. I was so happy when we came out how she had included the whole family and made it such a special time for us all.
Well I'm keeping really well no puffiness yet so I really can't complain at all.
Well best go get the other too dressed , hope you are all still keeping well,

Hey Ladies hope you are all well, ive been away in Cornwall for a week and have lots and lots to catch up on lol! my holiday was amazing really didnt want to come back but i have a lovely tan to remind me hehehe
Zee - Oooooh exciting about the possibility of a home birth for you, i dont think i would want that myself but i dont have the choice so no decisions to make hehehe and what a tease about the name you have to tell us now!!!!!!
Heti - Rich felt Bean kick for the first time at 21+6 (exactly the same time he felt Abigail which is really odd ) we've started our nursery too, it doesnt need plastering/ painting etc which is good we've got the furniture in now just need to decide on the soft furnishings etc would help if we knew it we were team pink or blue!!
Char - Congrats on your news that your expecting another baby boy how exciting I've opted to not do the antenatal classes this time around i didnt find them very helpful the first time
WooWoo - Im having to take my wedding rings off at a night as they start to feel a little snug hope i dont have to keep them off
Mrs Oz - Congrats on the news your expecting a girl ive been suffering loads with my SPD and was sent for a greoup physio session it wasnt that great to be honest but came away with some exercises which are supposed to help so we'll see!!!
Think ive covered most things there lol hope your all well xxxx

ladies i seriously think my baby is HUGE!
His first scan - people thought it was a 20 wk scan because he was so clear.
I felt him kick at 16 weeks - for a first baby this seems insane and hubby saw him and felt him at 20 weeks!
I think i have got a monster!
Well our next scan is friday - i hope he behaves this time as my dad has taken a day off work to come and see him, will be wasted if last monday is anything to go off!
we will then book in for our 4d scan - 150 pounds seems so much but they just look incredible!
any more news from anyone?
John is currently as we speak painting the babas room, sounds like some of you are cracking on with yours too! Exciting!

Aww, hun..try not to worry, its not uncommon to feel your first baby early on. I felt Oliver from 14wks and i'm pretty sure OH felt him much sooner than he did with this little one too.
Good look for the scan and I do hope baby behaves
What you doing the nursery like? Colour? Theme? You'll have to post a pic when youve done and show us
I'm having a HUGE day myslf today. Baby has changed position again and bump is right out front and rock solid. I just cant get comfy today, ribs ache and back aches too Woe is me haha.
My 24wk bumpy:
I'm currently having hell on trying to sort my antinatal classes. If I wasn't having a home birth I wouldnt bother tbh, but ive been trying since early last week!!! Its says book before 24 wks to avoid disappointment.

Good to hear you are all doing fairly well.
Toots - great that they explained everything to you and that you seem to be a bit more relaxed now So pleased you are able to enjoy your pregnancy.
Heti - good luck today, hope it went well. I felt my first early on (about 15 weeks), and Oz also saw/felt her quickly too. This time I/we have felt things much earlier but then I knew what to feel for.
Zee - how are the plans with the home birth going? Did you watch the home birth on 'The Midwives' this week? looked relaxing. I am the same as Nat tho, keep it to the hosptial for me, don't want any splashes on my cream carpets hehe!!
Nat - great that you had a good holiday. What did the physio suggest at the SPD group session? I went today and was given a belt from them. They have written to my work already to explain that I will need to be less mobile, and I go back in a month to review it and discuss crutches. Did you have SPD first time round? What help are you getting this time or have they left you to it?
I am also not doing ante natel classes this time as I didn't find them that helpful in the end. With the physio, extra clinic, therapy & MW appts for my depression & anxiety, I am now also going to clinic every 4 weeks on top as they are monitoring my platelet levels, so going to a class may not be as relevant to me as my plans and care seems to be so different this time.
Woo - how are you? We are mising a few... how are people getting on?
Looking ofrward to hearing from you all
