Post subject: Takeing folic acid while on the pill.
Hi we are going to start trying for baby number 3 in october time but untill then im still going to be taking my pill. i was wondering if any one else has taken folic acid while still on the pill?? didnt no if it would make n e difference or not?

i cant see that it would do any harm, as the recommend you take it for 3 months before starting TTC.

Its fine folic acid is added to a lot of cereals and breads now anyway and has no effect on the pill .They do say though that if you are planning to TTC it might be a good idea to come of the pill a few months before and use non hormonal methods in the meantime so your hormones have a chance to get back to normal first Smile It also helps you get an idea of the normal length of your cycles etc. for when you do try Question xx
