Help! How long do you get maternity pay for??

I'm pretty sure that you get maternity pay for 39 weeks?? It was like that with my daughter, and I only had her 19 months ago so I'm pretty sure I'm right!?

Anyway, I've been on maternity leave since Christmas, and my boss just rang saying I'm due back to work on Sunday? As my pay stops? She said I've had my 6 months pay?? But I thought it was 39 weeks pay?? I thought I was getting paid until mid September?

Please help?

If you know of any numbers I can call for advice I would be great full!

I was entitled to 6 weeks at 90% of my pay then 39 weeks at the SMP.

I didnt have to make a decision as to whether I was returning until I had been off for nearly a year
