Taking baby swimming

Post subject: Taking baby swimming Hi girls.
Just a quick question... When is it okay to take baby swimming? My daughter is 5 weeks old almost and loves the bath. Me and OH are keen to take her swimming and weren't sure if it's okay to at this age. Naomi xx Posted: Wed Jul 18, 2012 1:07 pm
Post subject: There is some conflicting advice a lot of pools and some people say they need to wait till they've had first set of jabs. Some say that's not the case. I just waited till first set of jabs to be on
the safe side. My area has no warm pools either so I bought a Baby wrap to keep him warm. Unfortunately my son has a bad chest and we hardly get to Take him and he loves it too! _________________  Posted: Thu Jul 19, 2012 3:28 pm
Post subject: i took gabriel last week (@ 9 weeks) and he loved it! luckily the pool at my gym is nice and warm ( a seperate kids pool) so we were able to stay some time. check out your local pools and go for the warmest one!

Post subject: Both mine were about six weeks when they first went. Def check out the temp at each leisure sentre as i found it varied hugely. And I would highly reccomend a baby wetsuit as keeps them much warmer (you can get in mothercare)
