Post subject: Ar I see yeah they havent as yet found anything wrong with ovulating low reserves but we might get a different answer today from manchester as they probably look more into it that my own hospital as they just checked 'fertility basics'
thanks claire xx god If we get the go ahead I am going to annoy everyone with lots and lots of questions! x nutty1 wrote:
Glad that helped Terri, If I were you Id be honest with your boss from a lot what Ive read online a lot of employers are very sympathetic to the situation so you may be able to come to some kind of arrangement.
As for the long and short protocol I think long protocols are offered more often and to people like you and me where we are 'normal' so to speak with no problems with ovulating, low reserves etc, polycystic ovaries etc. Id be very suprised if you wasnt on long protocol. Afm I emailed the clinic yesterday to ask why they preferred using artificial cycles and whether it affected the success rates, I got a reply today and it seems it does affect the results quite significantly so Im going to talk to o/h later. Id rather go with the artifical seeing the clinic results they sent me. _________________ ![]() ![]() Posted: Wed Jan 16, 2013 7:20 pm
Post subject: Good luck tomorrow Claire. Wonder why the difference between medicated FET and natural is so much. It's usually down to the individual I would have thought or the reasons why they need a medicated one so that then makes it work. If cycles are regular then my clinic say it shouldnt make a difference - but it clearly does at some clinics doesn't it! I know others have said theres differences too. t's crazy how everywhere is different even tho on same meds etc... isn't it. Defo doing the right thing as there is a difference though hun - massive good luck - when's your estimated transfer roughly? X

Post subject: It is strange that it makes such a difference and it doesnt really make sense to me but when youre talking of a difference thats 8-9% then you cant ignore it. If all my calculations go to plan (Ive been working out according to last fet) and theres no complications etc then I think transfer may be around valentines day lol.

Hi ladies as you know I'm on the nasal spray for 17days and I an expected to have af In the next 5 days. I have a scan on the 30th jan to check that my womb lining is thin enough Then I start taking the hrt and the pessarys to thicken it up again. How long does it take to get the womb lining as it should be for fet. Thanks ladies.xxxxx Posted: Wed Jan 16, 2013 10:06 pm
Post subject: Tiny once I got my af I started progynova (hrt tabs) on cd 3 , cd 10 I went for a scan and lining was thick enough so I then had to start the pessaries along with continuing the progynova. Embryo transfer was 9 days later.

Post subject: Welcome back little cherubs by the way! Forgot to say that yesterday sorry! I hope all goes well with you this time, I remember you from when I was doing my fresh cycle back in April. Are you doing long protocol again? X.
Glad all gone well today Claire and great you are as calm/relaxed as can be. What a decision about the embryos - hope the first lot thaw perfectly! I obsessed about how they froze my embryos and only wanted one by one, but again each clinic is different and maybe depends on how many you have on how they store them - we had 6 so was easy to store separately than if we had twice that. Fingers crossed for good thawing for you hun - it will be fine I'm sure and you'll still have frosties left for the future!! I feel positive for you, as I did last time but the sonographer at my clinic kept telling me it usually takes 3 transfers for it to work!! So you will be 3rd time lucky! Post subject: Hi Clare so happy it went well today you sound so relaxed and have everything crossed for you.
i am shocked about the freezing process at E&H did they tell u they were going to freeze them that way, we are going to call them and find out how ours have been frozen, we have 7 blastos i will be so annoyed if they are not in either 1 or 2's.... sorry to rant but its not something they talk about, i think its awful that you now have the worry of the thawing process, i only hope u have some good thaws hun... pretty sure you will. i have early scan on Tue at 11 weeks to check baby and tissue mass, so only 4 more sleeps!! Post subject: We had no idea Nikki that they were going to be freezing them like that. I know we had a lot to freeze but even so we expected they would be in 4, 3, 2 and 2 :/
Theres a few other things we arent happy about from our visit yesterday , think o/h is going to send an email to complain. Firstly our remaining 2 batches of frozens havent been labelled (human error they said) so they have no idea whether theyll be taking 4 or 3 out of the freezer _________________ Ttc since December 2007!
