hey quinny, no they only put one back and froze one, but they said they wouldnt do a FET based on 1 embryo incase it didnt make the thaw, so said you would have to do another fresh cycle and add the extra egg (which the fresh cycle is what we cant afford)... want to be positive, but i thought they were really good quality so i suppose im shocked more than anything that they didnt make it.... sounds like theres alot of us with similar worries, it sucks doesnt it! Sad

It normally takes 2-3 days Tiny, although our first round of ivf I bled before I even got to test date.

Louise that doesn't seem right they wouldn't do a fet with 1 frozen. Its awful isn't it the things we have to go through to have a baby, as if it wasn't hard enough we have to think about money and survival rates etc as well. There's so many people out there that really don't know how lucky they are. We've spent around £9000 so far.

That's a shame u can't do Fet with one frozen. I know it is awful that we have to worry about the money on top of survival rates etc. The story in news a few weeks back really annoyed me as well, yeah the guidelines for nhs have changed but the pcts ignore current guidelines so how's it going to change anything.

Rant over!

I really hope this one sticks for you MrsS, they did say it was a good one so got everything crossed for u.

Mrs S how are you today Very Happy

Im waiting for hospital to call hubby had to do
anouther test yesterday as he has reduced numbers
15 mill
rather than the 20 million Shocked

So were hoping its improved since he been on vits
ect .. It wont effect treatment i dont think they havent said

I got pg naturally and my DH had only 10million per ml and 20% forward motility!!! So those numbers your DH has are fantastic. It depends what treatment ur doing as to whther it affects it or not. Lots of luck to you x

Quinny that count will be more than enough then Smile If you were doing iui then I wouldn't know but for IVF thats a really good amount and if IVF doesn't work then at least you've got some good quality swimmers for icsi.

Our problem is that the swimmers have dissapeared!! DH has to have a biopsy this time Sad

Morning all!

Yes it is a whopping dose of gonalf, but my AMH is <3, so I need it to get a decent number of eggs. I'm 3 days in injections wise & I am feeling the effects already. Yesterday I had a splitting headache, I thought my head was going to crack in two! I think it's dehydration or caffeine withdrawal or a mixture of both. I am also really tired, & a little ratty! But that could just be work! So last gym class last night, I'm taking a wee break from it whilst in the middle of the stimulation part of the cycle. It's a big stress relief for me so I need to find something else or I'll go a bit mad!

Re-cost, we have spent close to £20k already & all previous cycles failed. I am fortunate to have a very kind & generous family so we haven't bankrupt ourselves just yet. I know how fortunate I am in this case and i feel very lucky to have them. It's not easy to save up £4-6k whilst trying to live our lives is it? But I think if you want it you will find the money from somewhere. Before my family offered to help us we cut back in loads of nonessential stuff & managed to get £3k together in a few months. It's hard but you get there.

Tiny, my af turned up within 2 weeks EC, once before the test date, & both other times just after. I guess the test date is the date your af is expected.

Nutty, hang in there girl, keeping all crossed for you....

Gillym & Mrs S take it easy & really hope this cycle is successful for you.

Quinny good luck for getting that cycle started.

Hey to all others.....

So I'm off to spend the weekend with aforementioned generous family for st. Paddy's day in there luxury 5 star hotel like house. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend whatever your plans. Sending much love, hugs & some positive vibes to you all. Wink
