Embryo transfer is tomorrow. I am nervous and excited. After the egg retrieval I have been experiencing major bloating (none of my normally really loose jeans fit, very little weight gain though), I am dehydrated even though I drink about a lot (at least 180 fl oz a day), been having a headache and have had a lot of pain, the list goes on. I have been worried that all of this might somehow affect the transfer but the dr said it won't. I didn't have any of this after my first retrieval. I also had a bad reaction to the anesthesia and started coughing during the retrieval. The dr was not able to retrieve even half my eggs bc I was moving. I have been a worrier. I just want it to work so much. Wish me luck ladies.

They retrieved 8. 7 were mature and fertilized. 5 fertilized normally and all 5 are still growing. Last retrieval they retrieved 10 from my left ovary alone (as my right was unreachable). This time they got 5 from left ovary and 3 from right. The first retrieval 9 fertilized normally but by day 4 I was down to four embryos and they transferred two and only one was able to be frozen. I have PCOS and women with PCOS usually produce more eggs. The dr told me pre-retrieval that he expected to get at least 15 mature eggs.
Where are you on your IVF journey? Have you started stimming yet? What meds do they have you on? It can seem overwhelming at first but it is nice knowing that you can finally doing something to help achieve pregnancy.
