Hi Gilly. Sorry you're having this added stress. We didnt have any choice but to have icsi as ours is a male factor problem. I got 15 eggs and with icsi 10 fertilised and we got 6 good quality embryos. How much extra is the icsi? At our clinic its about £900 I think, which is a lot of money, but when you're already talking a few thousand is it worth just paying that bit more for the extra peace of mind?
If it was me I think I wouldn't want to take the risk of not doing it and the eggs not fertilising. Like you say tho, it shouldnt be assumed, it should be an informed descision on the day.
Good luck, whatever happens, try not to stress about it.

Thanks ladies, it's £1050 extra so not cheap but as u say in grand scheme of things! We are thinking of going into the incubator were they do the time lapse and video imaging and if u want fertilisation in there u need to have to have Icsi anyway, u can do ivf and then go onto the incubator but it seems to make sense to have everything done in there. So we prob will go for it in the end but at least I feel like we are making the choice now
I'm just waiting for Af to show her face and the I can start down reg, I had a tiny bit of pink this morn when wiped (sorry for tmi!) and nothing since so wondering what's going on.
Fc hope u r well, not long till u get started
Kasm hope u r doing well.

Glad to hear all is well kaz, you can start to enjoy it now!
Lovely to hear from you ally! How is it going with 2?! Yes my little boy is a handful now, he's just 6 weeks younger than yours. He's funny and cheeky, naughty and gorgeous! I love it! He's starting pre-school after Easter, where does the time go?

It is scary how fast the time goes! Full on is how I'd describe life with 2 boys!! I'm sure your lo will enjoy pre-school, mine started in Sept and generally seems to like it, although he's too busy playing with cars to ever bring home a painting or drawing!

Hey all, I hope everyone is well. I'm just plodding along on my buserelin at the mo. Feeling like af is on her way but I think it's just down to my cycle being a bit messed up as I was on a day 1 start. Still got another week and a half before my next scan.
