Hey Ladies
has anyone else been offered the whooping cough vaccination during your pregnancy, apparantly following the recent outbreak they are offering it to women who are between 28 and 38 weeks pregnant....... are you having it if you have been offered it?

My best friend is a dr and I was adamant I didn't want it but after her talking to her about it I think I might. _________________

I had both flu jab and whooping vaccination last week. I will take anything that is offered its obviously offered for a reason. If it means preventing my baby from the risk of getting whoooping cough i will have it.

My consultant told me not to have them together cos if one made me bad we wouldnt know which one it was.
She also said she wouldnt have them as baby has our immunity, I assumed it was all to be on the safe side I wont be having them after speaking to her _________________

I didn't know about this until I read it here, so thank you ladies.
I will be asking my midwife about this when I see her next week, as I'd like to have this! xx _________________

Im booked in for the end of the month to have flu and whooping cough vaccinations at the same time too. The hospital consultant offered to book me in for it but as I had bloods at the drs the next day I said I would ask there... they didn't offer so I had to ask.
Then they said you can only have it after 28 weeks... er... yeah... I know Im carrying small but I am not stoopid
