Iv just booked my flu jab but I'm very undecided about the cough one I really don't no whether I should have it and if its safe!

I actually watched something on it in the middle of the year about Whooping cough being on like a epidemic cycle or something like every 12yrs, And that they would be offering this jab to pg mothers purely to protect the unborn child as it can be fatal to babies so young

Its the same one that baby gets at 8wks etc but this injection is given via mother in order to build up the antibodies to pass to baby through the placenta so they are better protected in the first few weeks before they receive their own immunization

Im booked in for the end of the month to have flu and whooping cough vaccinations at the same time too. The hospital consultant offered to book me in for it but as I had bloods at the drs the next day I said I would ask there... they didn't offer so I had to ask.
Then they said you can only have it after 28 weeks... er... yeah... I know Im carrying small but I am not stoopid
