Post subject: Double buggy reviews... After your recommendations ladies!
I have been looking at the Cossatto twins and the Britax B-Agile, but have also heard great things about the Britax B-duel which is tandem. My concern with the tandem is that baby on the bottom won't be as safe, won't get to see out and about, and also getting baby INTO it as I will be definitely having a C-sect and don't know about lifting baby in and out in the earliest weeks. That said - I know the side by sides are wider and less manouvrable... PS - my budget is minimal I have to say... as I won't be entitled to any maternity pay the next time round so we'll be on a single parent wage and will be pretty strapped for cash! Advice greatly appreciated! xxx _________________

Post subject: I keep telling you, May, have my Jane Powertwin Pro ... you know you want it!!!!
I want the o'baby zygenri but I simply cannot fault the Baby City Joggers - so easy to push and light enough to carry and all you do to fold it up is literally pull one strap in the middle of the seats ... how easy is that? _________________

Post subject: I KNEW you were going to say that Lian!
Also - can you post up the link to the one you want too - as I remember at the time thinking that was AMAZING. Do they do it in red? I did love the look of the city jogger and it does come with great reviews - but I'm aware that you buy it and you still have to buy the extras too - the cosytoes were like £50 each! xxx _________________

Post subject: May, I'm thinking you're starting to know me too well
Here's a couple of links for you to look over: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ZJRknz8Mso, http://www.preciouslittleone.com/product-information/26/16215/jane-powertwin-pro-tandem---holland-garnet/ The one i want does come in red but I LOVE the purple and my mum loves the orange. http://www.preciouslittleone.com/product-information/26/18748/obaby-zynergi-zoom-black-tandem-%28red%29/ If you did want my Jane you can have it as I'm determined to get my O'Baby and Kai and I could bring it down next time we meet up. It's got the raincover as well. it's just a little too low for me. That's why I love the Baby City Jogger because I can comfortably push that and not bend over, especially with my damaged wrist. _________________

Post subject: Slightly off-topic but time on SMP counts as employed when considering Maternity Allowance so you may be eligible for it - definitely worth looking into if you have kids close together and get SMP first time round.
http://www.dwp.gov.uk/publications/specialist-guides/technical-guidance/ni17a-a-guide-to-maternity/maternity-allowance-ma/#maelig Can't really advise on the double buggy front - we have a P&T Vibe but unless you found a 2nd hand bargain (we paid £200, it stank of nicotine and had chocolate biscuit squashed into it and a flat tyre, but it worked out fine) - it is out of your price range. I wouldn't say it was perfect anyway but it did the job. Ros Posted: Wed Oct 10, 2012 8:59 pm
Post subject: I have the city mini double and its really good but i must say the britax b agile is pretty much a carbon copy by looking at it online and as you say, the baby jogger doesnt come with footmuffs and a raincover. I had to spend over £100 buying those! It was lucky my ILs paid for the actual pram!

Post subject: I had an obaby side by side one.. I can't remember the name of it thougg bit it was fab it was narrower than most of the other ones by a couple of inches. Both boys sat comfortably in it and It had a baby head support in it to support their heads. It only came in black or brown though x

Post subject: thanks for the replies ladies! the city jogger and the cosatto are on my shortlist 0 a long with a b-agile and b-dual, and i'm going to go have a look at the others you mentionned!
how much were you going to sell your jane for Lian? it does look good - have to admit! thanks RosP too - i read with interest. i think i need to call someone and ask whether it is better to keep my job or not as i don't know if i qualify as i'm on maternity allowance now - not smp - because i hadn't worked for my employer for long enough. thanks for the link though - i shall give someone a call and find out where i stand and what is best to do about work! _________________
