Adoption and TTC.

Post subject: Letter arrived from our LA saying our names are on the waiting list for the next adoption preparation course! It should be June or July
 Think It's made Andy more positive about it all as he thought they would write saying we couldn't go any further.
On the downside, I have bloody flu and feel awful, Lasted 8 hours in work before I asked to go home. _________________

Post subject: Had an email from our LA, we have been invited to the adoption prep course, its Monday and Tuesday next week and monday and Tuesday the week after! We have both been given the time of to go. I am so happy!!!

Post subject: Hello ladies, well the first two days of the adoption prep course are over and it was tough! Today was very hard and had me in floods of tears. Talking about abuse and reasons children get taken from their birth parents. It has however made me more determined that this is what we want to do. I have also gained huge respect for foster carers. Feel mentally and emotionally drained tonight. We have two more days next week. Lou did you find the second day tough?

Post subject: We received the adoption application form today. There is a section about finance and now we're worried that because we're on a low income we won't be able to adopt.

I always find training days draining! Whatever the subject!!! - not enough coffee probably! I have to be honest and say that the abuse side of things did not have that effect on me. Its part of my job so I guess I am used to it. Sad but true. xx _________________

Post subject: Finished the training and after meeting an adoptee and adopter I feel so much more positive about the process. We have now got to fill in the adoption application form and talk about what aspects of disability and abuse we can cope with and also what our daughters can cope with. It's all going so fast at the moment from the initial 3 year wait we were first told we are now looking at a year!
