Post subject: Options to fast track fertility treatment? Hi All,
Following on from my worry post I also wanted to ask if any of you had heard of ways to fast track fertility treatment? I mean if I was super rich and could write a blank cheque to a private fertility specialist then how long could I expect to wait for things to happen and how much would it cost? Just want to know what extreme options might be available? Thanks x Posted: Thu Nov 08, 2012 12:21 pm
Post subject: Well, if you have the funds then once youve had a consultation with a private clinic then you can start whenever you like. We had our first ivf consultation near the end of June and come August we had completed our first round of Ivf. Its up to you, just depends where you are in your cycle to how long your wait is. Also depends on what treatment it is youre looking at. x

Post subject: It depends on where you are based in the country. Our local private fertility center charges £5300 for 3 goes at IVF non refundable if you get PG on the first attemped but if all goes well you can have a second child as long as it is within a year. or £3400 per go. else it is a 8 week wait for IVF on the NHS at our local hospital. but have heard from people that there hospitals waiting list is over a year. Sorry to say that due to the Goverment we currently have in the waiting list are getting longer and our local hospital is under review for closure. They have just moved me to another hospital but under the same doctors so hopefull nothing changes.

Post subject: it is the london women's clinic. that price is only for the ivf not for any tests that may need to be done. there success rates depend on age but are about 45% for 25-35 year old. luckily all of my test have been done by the nhs using the London woman's clinic. so they have copies already.
