Hi, I want to make my 8 month old boy mashed potatoes but wondered if I'm ok to use 'adult' milk and margarine? Or can I only use baby milk? I'm confused please help _________________

Full fat cows milk is fine but I would use unsalted butter. _________________

Thank you. We normally use 1% milk so I'll buy a small carton of full fat milk for the potatoes. Glad I asked as I would have just used our 1% milk. _________________

I dont think the 1% milk will cause any harm, but we were told its best to offer baby full fat, low salt, low sugar food as their body needs a lot of fat.

i dont think it would matter as you only use a small amount in the potatoes? for things liek cereal and a drink of milk they need full fat.. x _________________
