Post subject: in desperate need of advice...
Hey ladies, I have a slight situation, I am late for my period but all test I have took have come back negative, I am taking keppra (a relatively new epilepsy drug) and I was wondering if that could be effecting the test results?? I have contacted the walton centre (neuroscience centre where I am treated for epilepsy) and am waiting for a reply but just wondering if any of you lovely ladies have any advice, gettin bit stressed with it now xx

Do you have any info with the drugs that may help or have you tried good old Google? Do you know if the drugs contain any hormones as I would have thought that would be the only thing that would affect a test.

Drugs may be affecting your periods if not pregnant or it could be stress, weight loss/gain. How late are you as other thing is it may be early to test?

May sound stupid but how likely is it that you are pregnant, if you think it's quite likely then I'd suggest you see your GP incase the drugs could affect Baby.

i have tried google an we have been ttc, so chances im hoping are good, there isnt much information about the effects of the medication on testing but the effects on baby would be minimal otherwise i wouldnt be trying. not sure if medication contains hormones, doubt it though, its active ingredient is levetericetam, i am contacting the walton centre where i see a specialist for epilepsy as they know we are ttc an will hopefully have some advice, i did find a small bit of information on the FDA saying one woman had her pregnancy test results affected but thats just one out of thousands so would like a bit more hard evidence really xx
