Post subject: Chinese herbs? Hi ladies!
How is everyone? Any more BFPs going on here? Nothing yet here. Our ttc nearly came to an abrupt end, but it's all good. The next day he gets a phone call, that it def isn't that. What the?! Why on earth did we get told first then, that it was most likely that? I still don't fully understand that one, but fair enough. Turns out his liver enzymes are a bit high. He's seeing a liver specialist this week to discuss things, but it's most likely nothing. I suspect it either has a very simple explanation or that he gets told to have a certain diet or something to help his liver a bit. So we're back on the ttc train! My acupuncturist has said too that she's bringing out the big guns if things don't happen soon. By putting me on Chinese herbs. I take it these are less bad for you than what the hospital has given me so far? Any experiences with these herbs? So fx it will happen soon! I can still feel exactly when I ov, so that's a plus! Now I just hope there's no more, we're pretty sure it's bad news one day and the next, actually it's nothing of the sort at all...thx for the heart exercise! Good luck everyone and let it rain BFPs! As far as chinese harbs go it depends which ones she's suggesting and what your fertility problems are really I've taken a chinese herb called Dong quai (Angelica sinensis) quite a few times now I started it to help my tube primarily as its supposed to help with blockages and discovered by chance that it shortens my cycle by bringing ov forward I stopped everything last October after being told that my original blockage (that I started taking the dong quai for) was gone but a new one that was most likely bad scarring had been discovered further along But recently started it again at the beginning of this cycle alongside some systemic enzymes, and this month ov'd on cd 11 I've tried a few other things that are herbal while trying to conceive from agnus castus to milk thistle and astralgus , only thing I would say is just because something is herbal doesn't mean it can't cause problems or even be bad for you or just mess your hormones up So I'd always research anything like that yourself to see if you feel you really need it and if you think it will help with your particular problem . Most chinese herbs also have western names so you should be able to find out about them online and I'd be more wary of taking more than one together as there isn't the research into interactions that there would be with conventional medicine, i'm open to trying herbs though as many modern medicines were originally made from plants Good luck xx Posted: Tue Jan 29, 2013 10:11 am
Post subject: Hi Nat!
Thx for the reply! I know...it was shocking! We're both happy we didn't tell anyone at the time as we didn't want to worry people till we knew more. Big sigh of relief when it turned out it's nothing of the sort! I'm not sure what she's planning to put me on. She mentioned a pill version first? Small but you take them a lot? It's to make everything indoors even more comfy so that something hopefully will finally stick. I've been having issues with breakthrough bleeding which acupuncture has sorted. Though I noticed if I don't have it for a while it starts again. When the gynea did bloodtests he said everything looked fine, so it's a bit of a mystery why. Another gynea mentioned it's prob just part of me, as it was regular to the minute. Aha, I'll def check out online what she's giving me. FX the dong quai will work its magic once again for you! Thanks again for the reply! Fx it won't get that far! Though my body appears to be playing up right now when I feel niggles...always the way! Staying positive though! Posted: Wed Jan 30, 2013 8:19 am

Nothing you're taking should interfere with anything she gives you, some chinese herbs are blood thinners though (they seem to be very big on things that are supposed to do stuff to your blood I know what you mean with the meds, they normally tell you not to take any meds while TTC and then they offer you them Posted: Thu Jan 31, 2013 8:52 am
