Didn't think I'd get to say this agin but we've decided to "actively" TTC again Very Happy Probably won't work as I have been told I have scarring and only IVF will work, but I've started some treatments that are supposed to help and we're going to give it a few months of BD at the right times and see what happens Very Happy
Staying away from the CBFM and OPK's though as I find they make me stressed Rolling Eyes Laughing
Could be setting myself up for a fall, but feeling fairly positive right now, especially as I think I may have ov'd yesterday at CD 12 which would be a record for me Shocked Laughing or even overnight on CD11 Shocked Shocked we BD cd10/11 and this morning Embarassed Laughing so FX the timing was right at least and I've had ov type pains on both sides so maybe we even got 2 eggs this time Shocked Laughing
I've read some good things about the stuff i'm taking (if anyone wants the details PM me, the stuffs supposed to help shrink endo as well ) and some Ladies have got BFP's after being told IVF was the only option Very Happy So FX they work for me , definately doing something mind you if I've ov'd already Shocked Laughing
Good luck to everyone trying , hope January/February brings lots of BFP's Very Happy xxx

Ooooo good luck Nat I dont blame you. Me and o/h have a plan of action if all the fertility treatment fails, Im going to go to my doctor and request a hsg to see what is going on with my remaining tube. Do you think if it was found to be blocked they would refer me for a laparoscopy again to try and fix it? One thing I was pleased about this week is when we went to the clinic and I had a pipelle done he checked my ovaries and I ovulated from my left Very Happy (the side with the tube), I had become convinced I didnt ov from that side because I only ever get right side pain so that was a plus.

Thanks Ladies Very Happy xx
Nutty you can only ask can't you Smile As they've done it before they might Question If they weren't keen on surgery then you could ask about the cannulation , as its considered less invasive and less likely to result in more scarring Question
They should offer you some form of treatment though as you're both young and don't have a child together and the HSG comes under investigations anyway Smile
Yayy to ov'ing on the left Laughing
I always thought my left ovary was lazy (also where my tube is ) I don't get pain on that side either but almost always do on the right and when I had the cannulation on cd 9 and the doc showed me the pics I had loads of follicles on both sides Shocked its really weird seeing that stuff isn't it Shocked Laughing
On the other lap pics done just before AF they were just smooth and greyish but this one they were covered in loads of little white/yellowish bumps , she said if anything there were more on the left Question
So obviously our lefties just get on with it without making a fuss and the right ovaries are grumblers Laughing
I'm not getting my hopes up as I only started the high dose of both together just over a week before I ov'd but I have been reading someones blog and she started them in January after being told both tubes were blocked and IVF was the only option , and by mid March had a BFP Shocked and then found out she was 6 weeks along
I've noticed a difference in a couple of external scars already , including the one from my first lap which was a mess, the doc said there's nothing they can do with a scar that old (20 months) but its definately looking less raised and thinner and less red Question and I can barely feel the scar in my arm from having my implant over 13yrs ago Shocked so if they can help with that then surely they can help with this other one Question Very Happy
I'm crossing everything for you that this FET works and you only need one batch of your embryo's its about time you had some good luck xxxx

We only have 2 batches left Nat a 4 and a 3 and guess what.... they havent labelled them (human error apparantly which they were very dismissive off when we were told) so they have no idea which number theyll be taking out the freezer Evil or Very Mad If they take out the 3 we have to hope and pray we get 2 good ones survive if not then we have to pray that 1 at least survives and is a good quality if not we then have to make the decision whether to defrost all of our remaining frozens to get 2 or go with the 1.

Hiya

Can I ask you how do you know if you have scarring?

It's ridiculous isn't it Nutty , you'd think they'd freeze them in ones or two's ,so you don't need to defrost as many Rolling Eyes I don't know why they won't refreeze them for you either as I've read it works quite well with blasts Question Hopefully you will get 2 this time Smile and it will be a case of 3rd time lucky Smile , if you only get one they should offer a free transfer next time if it doesn't take, rather than risk defrosting the other batch and having too many, you'd think they'd have more empathy when they're dealing with peoples potential babies Confused xxx
Thanks poppytops xx
Michelle I only know because I had a reversal so there was always the potential for it to happen so after TTC for 6 months (I was over 35)I went to my GP and was referred for a HSG which showed no fill in my only tube , then a follow up lap also showed no fill, I still wasn't convinced as it wasn't at the reversal site, so i contacted my surgeon and had another Lap which seemed to confirm it (Nov 2011) I almost gave up then, but found out about tubal cannulation and asked at my follow up last jan and got a referral (to St Mary's Manchester), finally had it done in October and the blockage (at the junction of tube and uterus)was gone Shocked unfotunately there was another further along, I actually saw the footage from the cameras (one in my womb and one in my abdomen) so i could see the dye travel to the reversal site and stop Sad They've said its almost certainly scarring because of where it was and the fact the guide wire couldn't budge it
If you suspect scarring the first thing I'd do is see your GP and ask about an HSG , if that comes back no fill then it can be down to spasms so they may offer a laproscopy to have a better look, a HSG will pick up blockages in the tube but it might not tell you whats causing them, which could be anything from a twisted tube to external adhesions from c sections or any other abdominal surgery, whereas the lap can see if there are any of these problems and often put them right , If your GP won't refer you then a private HSG is between about £250 to 400 depending on where you live, the NHS are supposed to offer cannulation if they think you have a blockage but they often just tell you to have IVF, I had to really push to get the cannulation , luckily I got to see a doc who specialises in tubal infertility ( Dr Seif) and I think basically was quite keen to get the chance to do the Op as many women will just skip to IVF Shocked Laughing
It probably the biggest single cause of secondary infertility now though so i think GP's are getting better at dealing with it and are less likely to fob women off and say just keep trying , Good luck xxx

We've sent a long email to them yesterday listing all our concerns and things we are not happy with, theres quite a few things bothering us this time. We really are quite annoyed that we had them all frozen as a 4,4 and 3. Another lady who is at the clinic had 7 blastocysts frozen and they froze hers all as 1s.

Just feeling a bit negative about everything at the moment think it may the suprecur lol
