Post subject: wits end-what to do? Well as the title says, I am at my wits end with my son who is 18mths. He has always had a bit of a temper on him but this past few days he has been hard hard work!!!
Now I should add before I go on that he is teething and the poor wee thing is getting 5 teeth at once so obv I exect he will be out of sorts. However at times I am unsure if it is the teething or if he is just really oushing the boundaries. He will scream (madly!) and throw things. Last night we put him in the naughty corner for this as we are so unsure how to discipline this when still so young. He did eventually stay in there but I am really unsure as to how much he understood. I am just so concerned that if we dont get it right now and nip this bhvaiour in the bud then we are going to end up with a wild child. Any ideas folks-persever with naughty corner or try an alternative idea?? _________________ Posted: Sun Mar 31, 2013 9:05 pm
Post subject: If you have covered everything else like if he's hurt, hungry, thirsty and that's why he's acting up, definitely continue with slight discipline. My George is 15 months but going on 15yrs sometimes
My hubby once tickled George after he bit his shoulder, of course George giggled then went to bite him again, then he couldn't say no because he'd already treated him the first time. Definitely about getting it right when you can! x _________________ ![]()
