I'm not sure what to suggest really, but I can sympathise, my little boy who is also six months has been exactly the same for the past couple of days. Have you tried Ambesol for teething? You have to get it over the counter at the pharmacy, it works really well.

I have found that as well as the screaming he seems much more tired than normal, nothing calms him down. He has gone off both milk and food. I am just managing with lots of cuddles and calpol etc.

If you think it isn't down to teething could your little one have hurt himself, Luke got his leg stuck in one of his toys the other day and that upset him. If you are worried though phone NHS direct or HV.

Good Luck and hope he's better soon xx

there is a theory that at around 6 months of age babies develop 'separation anxiety'. They suddenly realise that they are separate from Mummy, and can tehrefore 'lose' you. Maybe the change of surroundings with a holiday has sparked this? The solution is simpe if you have the time - lots and lots and lots of cuddles, to reassure him that you are there, and that you come when 'called' by tears.

Hope that helps a little

My little one went through this recently, only lasted a few days but her nappies were horrible and she followed me around crying constantly. When I took her to see HV she said that horrible nappies weren't caused by teething and that she had had a tummy virus. I know you have to take their advise with a pinch of salt sometimes but this may be an option.

This definately sounds like teething.... try baby bongela and nurophen, pop the favourite teether in the fridge for a while or amuse in the bath.
don't hesitate to call the doc if you think it's more serious, they will understand and give you re-assurance.
