Post subject: coal/wood burning fire
hi, i'm only 6 weeks pregnant with my first baby and have gone into google overdrive, just wondering does anyone know if sitting in a room with a fire which is burning both wood and coal safe?? i have a million questions lol, thanks xx

as far as i know it is, i had one in my last house and kayne lived with it from newborn-8 months. I think you have to be careful with carbon monoxide though but im not sure x

We have one and use it all the time and did through pregnancy. All the fumes go up the chimney anyway but think back to olden days when they had open fires as an only form of heating and burned all kinds of [*@!#%*].

Stop worrying and keep warm xx

yeh they're fine, we have one and have it lit everyday through winter x
