Post subject: Ive not managed to get pregnant again since but I had tube problems before the ectopic anyway so I always knew I was at risk of one. Theres a lady that uses askbaby who had an ectopic and lost a tube who got pregnant and had a little girl in december so its still perfectly possible with only 1 tube.

Post subject: Well all the websites Id visited said to wait for 3 months/ 3 normal cycles before trying again but my doctor disagreed and said theres no need to wait that long these days so we started trying after Id had my first normal period (the bleed after the surgery isnt counted as a normal period)

Post subject: Hiya, I don't know how you've been since I last talked with you but I have just had my second baby - who was conceived 4 months after my ectopic. Its very possible that you will conceive. My consultant told me that after a normal woman (no fertility problems) the conception rate only drops down to around 70% but mine was significantly lower because I have PCOS and had multiple miscarriages.
When or if you become pregnant again your care should be much better. You'll be referred for hcg beta blood tests every 48 hours until its clear that they're going up normally, as well as regular early ultrasounds - although I had to slightly push for these. I felt very anxious when I found out I was pregnant with Naia but she was well worth the risk of trying again.

i had an ectopic in 2004 and in April 2008 i gave birh to a little angel call kerryl-maria. it was a very sad situation when i had the ectopic as i had suffered 3 misscarriage before and was battling with infertility foe about 10 years. i was in despair and manage to put everything behind me and move on with my life and like i told you , in 2008 a miracle did happen and my angel was born. now i am looking forward to celebrate her 5th birthday next month, so please do not despair as there is miracle after ectopic. i will pray for you all. elles
