Post subject: Copper coil
Hi ladies had my copper coil removed on 31st dec an my AF still hasn't arrived.
My cycle is normally 28-29days, even after mc's my cycle came bk straight away.
Since having the coil I've had various cycle days 24days to 36days.
Leaflets an docs say it doesn't interfere with periods an fertility once its removed but I am now on day 31 an still nothing.
Haven't done a pg test as I'm sure I won't be pg.
just wondered if this has happened to anyone else x

Is the coil you had the IUS or IUD? I have the IUD, I've had it 2 years in March and periods and stuff have never been regular since, always turning up whenever they feel like it from anything from 2 days to a week and a half. Hate the bloody thing to be honest, its not reliable for me at all.
I was told fertility comes back fairly quickly though although not instantly.
Be interested to see if anyone else has had the coil and posts! xx

Had you just had an AF when you had it removed ? Are you 100% you can't possibly be pregnant, as the copper coil doesn't interfere with ovulation it just stops implantation then it is possible to get pregnant almost instantly if you ov just as its removed Question
Even when you're not taking any contraception though you can have a weird cycle thats longer than normal and if you had some 36 day cycles with the coil then that might be normal for you now Question

I'd wait until you get to what would be your longest cycle and then if no sign maybe think about testing Question xx

Thanks for replies.
I've never ever had to wait for my AF for longer than 29days.
I'm going to test this morning just to make sure but I'm pretty sure its a BFN
I had coil removed 2 days into my AF
That coil is evil, worst thing I did having it put it.
