I long to see that second line,
Strong and dark and clearly defined.

If you squint and don’t look directly at it,
There! There it is – can’t you see it?!

I’m sorry my love, it’s all in your head,
Don’t fret and worry, don’t see red.

Next month you’ll see it, as clear as can be,
That line that indicates a little baby.

But I’ve had symptoms! Cramps and feeling sick,
Why does everyone else fall pregnant so quick?!

I’ve learnt the lingo and all of the facts,
I’m TTC, I OV’d and bought HPTs in packs.

When I’m low and down in the dumps,
Why am I surrounded by women with bumps?!

That ruddy AF shows up for a visit,
I have to agree – it’s not my month is it?

But one day I’ll get there, I’ll have big ol’ tummy,
And have the best job in the world – being a mummy.
