Bleeding 7 weeks after miscarriage?

Post subject: Bleeding 7 weeks after miscarriage? I had a miscarriage December 26, 2012. I started taking birth control not knowing I was pregnant and it caused me to miscarry. I had a heavy period for about a week and it stopped. Since then, I have been spotting and sometimes bleeding. TMI but the blood is dark brown and has tons of clots in it. I haven't had a regular period since because I am still taking my birth control and I take it for 3 months at a time and have a period then. Is this normal or do I need to see my doctor? Could it be the birth control causing me to bleed like this? Thanks in advance for any answers.

Post subject: I'm sorry to hear of your m/c, I would see your GP, following my m/c I bleed for almost 3 weeks, which was normal apparently when you miscarry. I would see your GP to check that everything is ok xx
