Post subject: Birthing Balls
Hi everyone.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of bouncing on a birthing ball which brought on labour sooner?

Just bought one yesterday and I'm bouncing away hoping to get baby's head into a good position.

I used one of these in labour first time round, but my bouncing turned her back to bcak, so I spent the next 6 hours on all fours trying to turn her! lol!

37 weeks and 4 days....So term. But theres a possibility I could end up getting induced before due date so I'd obviously rather baby just came naturally by herself rather than have another induction Smile

I bounced incessently on mine and baby was also back to back last minute!!! Is that what caused it?!? My midwife was disbelieving as he'd been in the most perfect position ALL pregnancy then in the last 24 hours before labour - he turned the wrong way! If that is truly what caused it - I shall be avoiding the ball this time!!! Very Happy I thought it was brilliant for getting baby down low - but then I managed to get him 4.5ths engaged just by walking around in the days before he came too - so perhaps walking is better? Smile x

I loved my ball!! I sat on it to watch TV for weeks before I had Izzy. I maintain that my induction went ok because she was bounced into the right place! I found it comfortable to lean on as well!
