Wow congrats Claire, what was Hannah's weight? Hope you are healing up alright.

Congrats Mrs S!

So exciting! Hope I'm not waiting much longer. Got midwife again today at 11:10 so will have my third sweep, induction booked for Saturday if not. Can't believe she is hanging in there when I was 3 cm dilated last wednesday?!

Hope your sweep went ok donzy and you're currently winging your way to labour!! Least if you're already dilated they go straight to breaking your waters and give you 4hrs for your contractions to kick start before giving you the drip.

If you've got any questions about it, shout as I've had both types of induction now xxx

Thanks ladies, Hannah weighed 8lb 12oz Donzy. Had her heel prick done yesterday Sad and she was weighed she has lost 5oz. Midwife also removed my staples which actually was okay as my stomach is extremely numb right now and very swollen. Im not doing to bad recovery wise, Im getting there slowly.

How is everyone else? Feel like I can barely concentrate on anything at the moment Im so consumed by Hannah and my love for her I feel like my brain isnt working properly lol me and o/h actually argue the toss over whos turn it is to do pooey nappies etc we cant get enough of her its very hard to explain. O/h is fantastic with her and me he has treated me like a princess and I couldnt ask for a better partner or daddy. x

Still here, fedup.com no change not even any mucous or show after this sweep. I was still 3 cm, no change but she could grab it better?!

rara I have so many questions i wouldnt know where to start! Contraction pain-is it worse with the drip than normal contractions, should I go straight for an epi? Want to have as little intervention as possible and MW said they could break my waters without gel yesterday so will try that first. fingers crossed. Do you have to stay in longer after induction?

Nutty - Hannah's weight is perfect. Sounds like you are being looked after well.

I actually found the contractions very similar. I used a tens machine, then paracetamol then gas and air the first time then just gas and air the 2nd time when I was about 7/8cms. a lot of people find the contractions worse as you're on constant monitoring so in one place

I'd definitely let them break your waters then get active as that'll help bubba move down and kick start the contractions. My midwife gave me 4hrs from breaking my waters to recheck me and let contractions start. If they don't start that's when they start the drip

Just be aware that you won't be allowed water etc as they have to be able to monitor you a lot more but don't worry and go with the flow as much as possible and that'll make it easier xx

Well done nutty, that's great about weight loss, my milk monster didn't lose at all but has had a lovely yellow tan!!!

Re staying longer, it's normally 12/24 hrs and you have to stay on the post natal ward and pass a good amount of urine so you can go home. To be honest you'll be glad to stay in just for that added security and reassurance. You'll be fine xxx

Hey November mummies Very Happy Its all gone extremely quiet so Im presuming everyones time is completely consumed by their little ones. How are you all and your babies? Hannahs doing great she's on the whole a really good baby, she seems to suffer with struggling to poo quite a bit and tummy aches but she has been a lot better since we started her on colief. She started smiling last week at 3 weeks definately not wind, and she has just started doing it more especially when I talk to her. Im loving it though am finding night feeds hard still since its been 13 years since I last did all that.

Hi nutty, that's fab you're both doing so well and yes the night feeds are definitely tough! Harry is feeding pretty much every 2/3 hrs sometimes more so feel like I'm running on empty at the mo but know it'll get better soon!

Can't believe my little man is 4 weeks old already, it's already going too fast. How's Hannah at night? Harry refuses point blank to sleep in hs basket and crib and will only settle with me 😳 lovely as it is but shattering! He wakes himself up as soon as he's put down. Have tried my shirt, a hot water bottle, him n a sleeping bag and so about to order a teddy that plays a heartbeat for him!

Lovely she's smiling, we are just getting wind smiles but they'll do for the time being, am not wishing this baby stage away ths time round!

Harry seems to have lots of wind too, he trumps for England so going to mention it tomorrow when I see hv for 1 month birthday weigh in 😊 Sarah xxx
