Post subject: Taking Folic acid??
Just as the text says who was taking folic acid before they got pregnant. I was told by my doctor to start taking it before I even get pregnant, well I am looking at folic acid and not sure whether to take one with others vitamins as well or will just folic acid on it's own be ok??

Well I have ordered superdrug's own and it was buy two for £4 which I didn't think was that bad considering that all the other were over £4 to start with.

I did try the pregnacare ones bit got so ill on them without going into detail so stopped them and doctor said just have folic acid will be fine. Ill see how I go but it will be a while as other half has not go a high sex drive so im lucky if I get it more than 4 times a month so im not expecting it anytime soon

I ended up getting superdrugs own brand and started taking them today so will see how we get on. I feel like ovulation is coming as my back of mu hips are starting to hurt which is a sure sign but the ovulation test is saying no.

I took folic acid as soon as I knew I wanted to ttc, I bought mine from boots at a very cheap price & took it right up until 12 weeks after I had conceived Smile xx

Claireclaire21,

How are you finding them, I could not get on with them so changed to just folic acid stupid body of mine. I keep forgetting to take the folic acid tablets.
I must have ovulated last month but missed it completely as AF arrived last week but was a quick one two and half days which is normal for me.

I haven't had any problems with them so far. Can't say I've noticed anything else, but then I suffer with under active thyroid so put alot of side effects/symptoms down to that.

The only reason I remember to take them is because I leave them on the side in the kitchen - so as I am sorting stuff for work in the morning/making a cup of tea, I see them and remember to take one...otherwise I forget! X
