Post subject: Leaving LO
This is a really stupid question but me and OH have both been at home with LO so far so someone is always in the room with her. I'll be returning to work in November and just wondering where you leave LO when you get brief things done. Just thinking little things like going to the toilet, having a shower, hanging washing up. Do you try to do everything while they're napping, or do you feel safe just leaving them for brief periods?

I used to leave mine in her little bouncer chair infront of the TV while I potted about and if I were to have a shower or anything I'd put her in her cot with something to amuse her with.....my LO didn't take a great deal of long naps so I'd have never gotten anything done if I waited for nap time.
So long as they're safe and secure you know they're fine if your just pottering about the rooms (altho I was always a bit weird about leaving her if she was downstairs I and went up or visa versa, I liked to be able to just peek in the room to check on her every so often).

I used to leave my little guy in his bouncy chair but never went too far away so I could always hear him. Now he is bigger I either take him with me and he "helps" or our conservatory has a baby gate on it and that's his toy room so I leave him there for 5 minutes where I know he is safe and I can see him.
