I have just spoke to my gp about going on contraceptive pill to help with my heavy af.. She told me the results of my blood tests came back fine and I am ovulating and that I should see the infertility specialist to see if there's anything that can be done! Either further investigations, unblocking or ivf. I'm so confused as what to do now, firstly they told me I was in early menopause/pof, then it was my fibroid and now that's all ok it's now my blocked tubes. 😕 they are doing a very good job of confusing me and building false hope! I just hope what ever the options are are on the nhs coz we are broke! 😖 whatever the outcome I'm gonna try hard not to get my hopes up and concerntrate on my future.. 🌅✈️

I would go for it with the specialist if I were you Smile Generally now IVF has to be private if either of you in a couple have children already, but in some areas they will do one treatment if there are no children from this relationship, it really is a postcode lottery with that though Question But I'd definitely ask about further investigations as tubes can twist or kink too, which can be diagnosed and treated with a laproscopy, and unless they physically see the tubes they can't be certain just from a HSG exactly what the problem is, that's why I pushed for investigations. At least now I know for sure, I've even seen the photos of my tube all swelled like a sausage with the dye right to the point of the reversal, which is obvious because the blue external stitches were still there Laughing , so I know where the blockage is and almost certainly what's causing it, stops you driving yourself nuts wondering if nothing else, my doc wouldn't try to surgically repair as he said it would re scar but some will and even if you only get another 3 month window to TTC it's better than nothing ? Good luck xx

Hi just a litte update, went to hospital today to talk about blocked tubes. At first I was being told it's the end of the road and our only option is egg donor Mad he then went on to say that scar tissue had formed in my tubes and it would be like a reversal op again and as expensive, and with my blood results I had no other options other than ed! I thought what a waste of time ! Was about to get up and walk out! I asked i asked if there was bo way to "poke it" through (he must of thought I was a right dummy with my terminilogy) he said yes we can but its not much hope! (positive as ever) I said well thats better than nothing! So im booked on the nhs Clap waiting list. I also reminded him that ny fsh was at 5 last time which puts me in the bracket for ivf with my own eggs Roll and to top it off got weighed and lost 2 pound (been to slimming world. So i Can get into my wedding dress) ROLF
