Post subject: how do you stop little boys peeing on themselves
Almost everytime I do a nappy change my little boy pees when I take the nappy off and it goes all over him and his vest. I try holding tissue over his penis but it doesn't always help and its very fiddley. Is there a magic solution or will I just have to deal with it?

I havnt got a boy but my baby girl always wees when i take her nappy off, i think they must like it! I hold the dirty nappy over her while i put a fresh one under her so if she does go wee wees it absorbs it....hope that makes sense lol!?

I cover Aidan's tummy with a little towel so I can whip that over him if he starts to pee and that absorbs it (and he doesn't feel so naked, so sometimes he doesn't do it at all, and he doesn't mind being changed so much).

thanks for the tips, I have been using a flannel (till he soaked it) and then terry nappy to hold over his winkle, it works but then thats extra washing. Tissues just end up soggy on his belly. Will keep trying different absorbant items!

Just think ... it could be worse: Aidan did a poo on my hand the other day. Can't believe I was able to laugh it off even though it was around 4 in the morning. Must be love!

It is all part of the fun. You just need to get quick at grabbing something to cover it. I am never more than arm's length from a sick square (muslin) so tend to use those, they seem to be just about absorbent enough to soak it all up.
