Post subject: GERD (reflux) but not fussy, chronic cough???
My 8 month old baby has had a chronic cough for a couple months and at the doctors yesterday he said he thought it could be due to reflux (apparently chronic cough is a symptom) - he's always been a heavy spitter, and he has had not so good weight gain but the thing is, he is a happy spitter. He's not fussy; everyone says he's one of the happiest babies they've met. And he doesn't spit up as much anymore. So could GERD be causing his cough even though he's not fussy?? I can't find a single description of GERD that doesn't include baby being fussy!

If you still have doubts, you can take a second opinion from another doctor.
