Post subject: creams for stretch marks
Which do u ladies think is best to prevent stretch marks as much as possible ???

I was very very lucky with my first , i didnt get any at all on my belly just a tiny few on my boobs cos they got absolutly moiioooossssiiivvvvveeeee lol

Not sure if ill get them with this preg as i read that skin loses its stretchyness as u get older not that my bumps get very big cos im only tiny

I know bio oil is good for fading them but whats best for preventing
Ive been using coco butter but like an absolute idiot i been using the after pregnancy one where it bloody tighten skin lol

I just used a body butter first time and didn't get any. This time I used Champneys Blissful bump oil and body butter. Don't know if I'm just very lucky but didn't get any again Smile. It smells gorgeous!

I've been using bio-oil to prevent too - you hardly need to use any...so far I'm 30 weeks + 3 days and no stretchmarks. x

My midwife was the one who recommended bio-oil to me at booking appointment. We'll see if I get to end of pregnancy without getting any stretchmarks. xx

I really believe it comes from within! Drinking plenty of water and eating a good diet with lots of fruit and veg will help your skins elasticity.

Cream will help too but I'm sure any like cocoa butter will be just as good as expensive ones!

I love coco butter smells amazing. I had bio oil some years ago to use on a scar , it worked wonders but im not overly keen on oily ointments. I have heard that there is a cheaper version of bio oil which works just as good. Its sold in b&m for about 2.
Gona try the pregnancy coco butter see how it goes. Hopin ill be as lucky this time round. Ive none so far so fingers crossed it stays that way

Thanks everyone Smile

I used them in my first pregnancy but unfortunately by the time I past my due date, the stretch marks came. So they didn't work for me! With my second I didn't get as big but used bio oil for my dry itchy skin.
