Post subject: HCG Beta blood test - RESULTS HELP PLZ X Hi everyone good luck to every1 and lots of baby dust...
Just a quick question i have been told and googled it that on a HCG beta blood test (quantitive) for it to be considered negative it has to be under no.5....For anything no.5 or over can mean a *MAYBE* retest in 2-3 days HCG gets higher your pregnant if it gets lower your not pregnant....Anything over no.25 is 100% PREGNANT So my question is no.5 on hcg blood test negative, maybe or positive ???? Every where on google says lower than a no.5 is neg, No.5 or higher (could be pregnant) no.25 & over defo preggers, Please get back to me, Thankyou Posted: Sat Oct 04, 2008 11:17 am

Yes, from what i know over 5 is classed as pregnant (to a certain extent), but it could also mean that you have had a m/c and you hcg levels are on their way back down. That is why testing in a couple of days will confirm it (via blood that is). Sorry to sound so harsh, but thats just what i know. I got a bfp last month, 5 days after af was due and my level was only 14, so therefore i had an early m/c. I went back for bloods 2 days later and it was under 5. Post subject: I had 2 positive clearblue digital results but when i went to the EPU my blood result came back as 3 HCG's so they have said i am not pregnant but i came home and done another digital kit and again got a clear positive "PREGNANT" result.

I had a B HcG blood test done last tuesday and my result came abck at 75 - when I was talking to the doctors she said that anythings 5 or less was a neg and anything 6 and over was a +. I wish you luck with your test this week - fingers crossed for your BFP xx Posted: Mon Nov 03, 2008 7:54 pm
Post subject: Yeah thats what i have been told as when I had my blood took last Tues they told me i got a 3 which means i wasn't pregnant, but I have done 2 home kits and got 2 positives since, which is very strange. I ended up having blood test today plus my blood presure was very high 105\149.

I had a blood test done 4 days after my period was due (after a positive at home) and the results came back too low to confirm, had the test done again (that was 11 days after missed period) and the level came back at 65 so they confirmed my pregnancy. Think sometimes they just do the test too early (I read somewhere it should be done no earlier than 10 days after missed period) Good luck to you!! xx _________________

Post subject: My blood result was 2.9 hcg's so they say i am not pregnant, but i was and have mc. So why do I still feel like i am ??? Still got indigestion and I was sick in the night

Post subject: Just my thoughts on this. I found out yesterday from a blood test that i was pregnant and by my estimations i should have been 5.5 weeks but the test yesterday came back as HCG 72.1 i knew something was wrong as this is way way to low as it should be doubling every 2 days and if i was 5.5 weeks there was a problem. I miscarried this morning. These are only my thoughts but the doctor did say yesterday that it was low but he also said that is could get to a 1000 in a week. This however is slim. Sorry to be doom and gloom but do remember that every woman is different.
