I would ask your gp to see where they send referrals to. I had to travel from Carlisle to Washington Tyne @ Wear for my op. Cost £3750 and i had mine done in March. i had mine done at the nuffield (now BMI) and it cost 3450 xxxxxxx but like claire said there will be hospitals near you xx even your local hospital might do the private ops xxxxxxx good luck in your search xxxxxxxxxx _________________

I had mine done in USA - so maybe a bit far to travel from Wigan! Dr Berger did my op which cost #2900 ($5900) plus flights. Well worth every penny as i've been back on my feel really quickly - and treated royally. Best of luck with your search - try your GP first (mine didn't know anyhing about it) - so the web may be your best bet. If you google it you should get lots of info. Julie xx _________________

They will ask your weight height etc. Any mediacl probs and how many kids all the usual stuff. Be prepared for an internal, i got one and was not expecting it at all. Just hoping that everything goes smoothly when I go.I think it's cos of my age and the length of time since I was sterilised, but I have been scouring the net looking for success stories to give me more hope

I don't know about the semen analysis costs, but i had my blood tests at my local GP (full range) and was charged a flat fee of £30 for lab costs. Don't get them done privately at the clinic it will cost a fortune. The IVF clinic charged £250! Julie xx _________________
