Post subject: Leg Cramps
These things are the worst pain, that i have ever experienced and they only happen at night...even the next morning my calf is so sore anyone have anything that can help it stop

Im not sure but ive just started experiencing leg pains!
Im 26 wks pregnant now an gettin heavy!!
But ive heared this can be from when you are sllepin especially on your back and the baby is applyin pressure on your back, and the blood cant get around your body properly!!

My midwife tells me this is completely normal and you should only worry when the pains are only in one leg and are happening during the day!
Mine were bad until I started drinking tonic water and bitter lemon there's something in it which is supposed to stop them! Also make sure you keep up your fluids in general!
There's some random old wives tale about corks under your mattress that my doctor told me but I'm not to sure quite how this a) is done and b) how the hell it hopes!

i get this but had it before i fell pregnant. i went to docs and they sed 1 muscel was tighter then the other. it is the worst pain in the world i scream wen i get it. what helped me was sitting on a chair and lifting 1 leg up 10 times (the leg that hurts) it stoped mine for ages they have come back now so iv started it again x

Hi, leg cramps and pains are the worst - i sleep with a pillow between my knees and believe me, it works!! Also make sure your legs and feet are warm at night xx

ill have 2 try that 1. i did go see a phsyio about my legs but he was so fit i really cont pay attention to what he was saying lol.wish i did now lol x

Hi

Drinking plenty of fluid to avoid dehydration, also tonic water can help with cramp, as it contains Quinine, which helps relax the muscles, also some gentle stretching exercises before bed can help loosen, relax and warm muscles

i keep getting rly bad calf pains i was told to put a pillow between my legs! dno if it will work bt no harm in trying i guess x

Ive had really bad cramps too but if you try not sleeping on your back it apparently helps your curculation!!
This is good in theory but in practise im finding very hard!!

Hope everyone is not suffering to much!!
