Does age matter

Post subject: Does age matter  Hi, This is the first time I have posted on this site. Just wanted to ask you ladies out there that are trying to concieve if you think age matters. I have been trying to get pregnant for the 2nd time for 3 years on and off. My first daughter is 6. I have PCOS and can only ovulate on medication. This in itself makes me feel totally rubbish, mood swings, bloated etc. I know my body inside and out and know my ovulation time, however still am not pregnant. I am wondering if it is my age - I am 37. I just wonder if it would be worth me paying to have the test done that tells you how many eggs you have left. My husband has been tested and he is fine and I know that I am ovulating so do not know why every month is a disappointment. Posted: Wed Mar 05, 2008 4:03 pm
Post subject: i have pcos to. i have fallen pregnant twice naturally but took 5-6 months, i think you should have the test done if you want another baby. did you have any problems with your first pregnancy? im 10 weeks ad started bleeding lightly, i dont know if its down to my pcos x

Post subject: Does age matter Hi, many thanks for your reply. I fell pregnant with my first child after just 2 months of being on clomid. I had a great pregnancy. This is now the 3rd lot I have had clomid and am having no luck at all. I will look into the test because there has to be a reason why this is happening. Good luck with everything. x

Post subject: PCOS and am 31 Hi there,
My husband and I have been trying for a couple of months now and I have PCOS and am almost 31. I have a huge fear that I might not ever be able to conceive or if I do might have a miscarriage. I know this seems a bit extreme but because I have heard so many stories about woman having problems conceiving and carrying to term because of the PCOS and also my age I'm a bit worried. Might be a bit depressed today because I just got my period. I do know every woman is different but does having PCOS make having a baby more difficult and increase chances of a miscarrige?? Post subject: i have seen a pcos specialist, consultants midwifes and doctors and they have all told my that pcos is not proven to be connected to miscarriages or any other pregnancy problems, last September i went into premature labor and blamed it on my condition but they all said it is nothing to do with it they say it doesn't cause any problems if you are pregnant, even though i have read that you are more likely to miscarry they say different, apparently pcos is only a problem when you want to conceive there for your doctor can prescribe you fertility drugs, i wouldn't worry!!!! x
