Post subject: Scan pictures?
I was wondering it you ladies get charged for scan pictures. I have read that a few times and it seems as though that is what is being said. I may be wrong..... I just thought it was weird and not right!!!!! I thought of it since I have another one today and will be given new ones to bring home. I got about 6 the first scan and 6 the 2nd time with a cute little frame---- they dont charge us at all' we just get them for free.

They charge £3 per pic at my hospital and you have to get a token from a machine. It depends on your sonographer though cos I got a few freebies aswell when I went Very Happy

Mines 3 quid a pop as well at both the portsmouth hospital and the isle of wight hospital, might just be a hampshire thing xx

Our hospital, Mid-Staffordshire, say they charge but won't ask you for money when you're in there they just accept donations towards the unit, maternity and neonatal. Not too bad tho, £2 per pic or £5 if you want 3.

At The hospital i go 2charge £3 but they gave me 2 as they said it the 2nd was a nice pic. Then my 20wk scan i had free cos it was a new machine &they did their training on me i had 2stay a extra hr while they played around wiv it. So 2say thanks they gave me 2extra free Smile

i didnt get charged for the 3 i got at my first scan.. wonder if this could be because in glasgow you dont get a 20week scan!!

blimmin pests i tell ya!!

id rather pay and know i was gettin a 20 week scan!! butt nooooooooo .... Very Happy

all thos prices really cheap. yeovil hospital charged £8 when i was last pg 2 years ago. didnt have enough money on me!!!

That is stupid!!!!! We dont get charged nothing!!! Today the lady gave me 8 pictures- And I have the 12 others from my last scans. Mine are at the Dr.s office though- do you have your done as a medical precedure???? I would think so if they are routine- Someone has to tell them that is bites you get charged- and where is the money going??? They are probably next to nothing to print for godness sake!!!!
