Post subject: tipped uterus
hi u guys

i'm new to the pregnancy (about week 6/7) and only joined the site a few days ago.
so far my hubby and i decided not to tell the family as we don't want extra stress (advice etc..) we're thinking of announcing it only when it starts showing and i can't hide it anymore Smile or in the beginning of the 2nd trimester

i apparently have a tipped uterus. i guess this is why i have cramps, the doctor said that they are more intense but they should ease out..

do any of you have similar issues / know about other women with tipped uterus ?

i guess i'm still in the beginning stage when i worry a bit.
i started nausea this past week end too

Hi, congratulations! I am about the same stage along and I also have a tipped uterus but my doctor is not concenerned at all about it Very Happy Very Happy and I also have quite a few cramps which are a but like pulling and feel like you are about to come on. Apparently this is completely normal and the only thing that it seems to affect at this stage is having to go to the loo more often!
Hope this helps

Post subject: tipped uterus....
hey, I am 28 weeks now, and also have a tipped uterus, which is far more common. The only thing different for me was that my 12 week scan was internal, they just insert what looks like a vibrator (excuse the sexual reference, but it's the only thing i could think of to describe it properly) into your vagina, it is painless, and i actually got a much better picture, with far more detail on it, The tipped uterus meant that the sonographer couldn't see the baby as well as she'd wanted, hence the internal scan....but i figured that was probably the least inasive thing, and I'd have to get used to being prodded and poked down there!! Other than that no other problems, only thing maybe is slightly more nerve pain in my back due to the position of the uterus, however get a good position, and all is fine.

good luck with the rest of the pregnancy.

xx
