Post subject: Bra's
ladies please please please help, am 16 wks and now all my clothes are uncomfortable etc i finally gave in today and bought some maternity trousers - doesnt it feel odd going into maternity for the first time in your life !! anyway my bras are also no good (someone though thinks this is fantastic LOL) anyway i always wore underwire and dont know what to do next - i got some sporty vest things that are supportive etc but they ride up over bump and find i pull them down all the time
i got 2 underwire today a size up but i suspect this will only be a short term solution
so - any advice very very welcome before i end up with a whole range of bra sizes !!

gingin i feel your pain and can only let you know what i've done so far. i'm 24 weeks and over the last 2 weeks my boobs are gotten absolutely ginormous. I was big before (36J- I know it's obscene!) and now I swear my boobs are bigger than my head!!!! there's no point in me trying soft bras as they don't support me at all so i'm having to wear underwired. the only thing i have been doing to stay comfortable is getting measured a lot and the last lot i bought back at 16 weeks have done me til now. what i did was to get the right backsize and a bigger cup but wore it on the tightest hook then let it out by each hook as needed. i think i may have the biggest boobs in the world by the time this baby is due!!!!!!!!!! good luck xxxx

hello again! what a nightmare this pregnancy thing is dont you think?
I was measured at 13 wks as my boobs went crazy and were very painful, they fitted me with a proper maternity bra which was ugly but soooo comfy! i managed to get some prettier ones in the correct size which was nice.
today i had to go for another fitting as the first one is getting too small and ive gone up another size but the new ones are so comfy.
underwire bras are a no no in pregnancy cause they restrict the development of the milk glands and cause restriction of the ligaments in your boobs... so in my eyes i think the correct fitting maternity bra is going to prevent saggy boobs later on...lol!!. they really are comfy too which is so important...now all i need to do is deal with the back ache and the heartburn then i will be ok!

You can get soft bras up to an M cup but not proper maternity ones or not that i've found so far anyway from the billion sites i've searched Very Happy I bought two soft ones from bravissimmo early on and it was like dangling tattie sacks!!!!!! Mine have really grown I am busting out of my bras am currently in 34DD, I never realised underwires would do more harm than good....I thought the longer you stayed in them the better, mine will be on my knees by the end of this pregnancy. Think the time has come a fitting.

I knew that underwired are not reccommended and hope there is a company out there making a softer one which is supportive for mammoth boosums!!!! my friend (also with massive boobies!) wore underwire all the way through and breast fed with no probs but the midwife said if she had to wear them she had to keep making sure they fitted properly and be very careful so they didn't dig in xxx

oh well then i have just done wrong and bought 2 new underwires in a size up - so far the underwear shops here in sweden are trying to put me in these nursing bras - i think i am being a bit of a pain or maybe just in denial but had to buy first maternity trousers today after worrying my jeans would fall down walking in the street LOL
but i had a feeling about this constant change in size so i guess i will have to try and find a good bra shop (maybe its an excuse to come home to jersey)
and how blinking sensitive are the boobs by the way
am usually 34 c/d - so i got 36 d - well they will get me through a bit longer anyway
Hey i have the heartburn / random hiccups too ?? swear its the baby not me -
more confusion yesterday about due dates just over 16 but now midwife saying could be 18 will just have to wait for scan on 16th
i'll say one thing though time does seem to fly

Hi Ladies - so glad gingin posted topic of bras as was about to do the same!! Having been a "less than a handful" kinda girl all my life i have been astonished in the growth rate of my chest and am now not only filling my bra cup which i have never done before but am busting over and out the other side much to the delight of my husband! So, it sounds like i should be going for non-underwired bras -is that right? does it matter if they are special maternity ones or can it be any kind of soft cup?? Where is the best place to buy them?? sorry for queries but given that up to age of 18 i was as flat as a board proper bra buying is all rather new to me!!

ok now going to ask another baffling question is a maternity bra the same as a nursing bra - they all look darn ugly to me ?? how sad am I !!!
am not exactly feeling the most sexy i have ever felt in my life right now especially given rather "bizarre" looking trousers i have just bought - with a wasteband that actually covers bump too - but i have to say what a relief they are to wear - wow !!
still baffled that other half says i look great regardless !

Post subject: Hi Ladies
Omg had a nightmare with the bra situation!!
Got bigger bras as my boobs got bigger but they have become really tight very quick.

So decided to buy some other bras less support but more comfy( kind of like sports bras), but i have also heared that underwiring is not good if you want to breastfeed, so i would avoid them!!
They do good maternity bras in Next which i am going to invest in soon!!
But also my boobs have been leakin so kinda been ruinin all my bras anyway lol

crikey this pregnancy thing is gonna cost a fortune and the littleun isnt even here yet !!
i will give in to the land of maternity when these bras i got yesterday complete their mission ! as for my wedding dress in 5 weeks i have suggested a toga with selective safety pins in the appropiate places - oddly everyone thinks this is shocking but my hormones are ensuring that my sense of humour remains in tact and if i cant find a dress then Toga it is !!!
you know the funniest thing about the boobs is that other half thinks its wonderful sadly for him they are so bloody sensitive that he cant get near them for love or money LOL
forecasting jealousy in the camp of breastfeeding when it starts !

Hey gingin - Talking of weddings did you see Ulrika Johnsson in Hello recently? She looked absolutely stunning very very pregnant with humungus boobies ........she had a Grecian style (not quite a toga lol) dress and I got my wedding head on and thought now could I plan a wedding for July time - get myself a lovely tan and copy her wedding style Laughing Other half will c*** himself if he reads this one. Think we should start your wedding thread when is the big day?
Being Nosy....Flossiexxx
