Just a quick one I really wish I'd packed!!
Just in case you're going to have an emergency or planned c-section (it's always worth being prepared!)
Try to find some very loose baggy jogging bottoms the type that don't have an elastic waist band!
Trust me there is nothing more uncomfortable that a bit of elastic digging into your c-section scar! Also granny pants are kind of helpful you know the ones that come up under your boobs!
Also snack bars for afterwards! The food is appaling on the ward afterwards! Although the tea was good for me!!!
And nipple shields I wish I had them straight away don't think I would have given up breastfeeding if I had these right from the start!
xx

Essential for me were pile cream and a comfortable pillow from home.

great list, im not panicking too much and wont be packing lots as when you get home youve have to unpack half of it unused..its hopefully a quick in and out labour with me so packing for max two days..so two body suits should do with two vests, dont forget nappies and pure water wipes or cotton, very essential as nappy needs changing very often with tiny tummy i was chaging every two hrs!!and some good bibs as baby can quite sicky after delivery, my baby was sick after every feed for 6 hrs so changed him three times..but just be prepared for the little things..nipple cream, charged mobile and plenty of magazines..

Post subject: Straws!
Definately take a few straws with you. I found them great as I had stitches and once I found a comfortable position, i didn't want to move for anything. The straws allowed me to have a drink without having to sit up properly. Just a little thing, but made a huge difference. Also take cotton wool for cleaning the baby rather than wipes as the midwifes prefer them and give you dirty looks if you use wipes. Feel free to use them as soon as you get home though!

i think usually about wk 32 onwards, really just in case you go in early. I'm at 36 wk stage and still doing mine after going through this list lol

Sweet lord!! We've come along way from squatting in a field and having our babies. I live like 3 blocks away from the hospital, so if I forget anything, I can send ppl to fetch it. I like to pack light, less to put away when you return home.
