i got advised by the midwife @ anti-natal class to do this 2-3 times a day. its meant to really help

A straw!!!

I found it invaluable! got a rally dry mouth and could be really lazy and have drink laying down!!!

Wouldn't it be easier to pack carton drink with attactched straws?!?
The way you guys are putting it it makes it sound like I will have to hunt for a straw! pmsl Laughing

hi girls i just wanted to say dont panic to much over your bag , i was getting in a real tis thinking what i was going to pack, then my ll boy came 10 weeks early i went into hosp with nothing just me and stayed there for 10 days, i managed Very Happy , not ideal granted, i didnt even have any pads or pants!! Very Happy but still managed good luck xxx

I sent my hubby home while I was in labour for my own pillow and one to put between my knees when I was lying on my side - he needed an excuse to go home for something to eat!!

Wow, there is so much there that I had not even though about. I am only thirteen weeks but was thinking of starting a list but this seems to have everything and the link provided by the site is really good too! I've saved it so closer to the time I can just print and tick as I get everything...thanks girls and askbaby !

u wont want much but the water the give you. i pcked a packet of straws and they came in very useful while i was there!!

i dont know if its been mentioned cos tbh i cnt be bothered to read every page lol
but my hospital now requires you to take formula, and bottles if you are forumla feeding

What happens if you intend on breastfeeding but something stops it from happening while you are in hospital???

My god i didnt realise how much you have to take. never even thought of most of it. great list im going to follow this to the point when its ready for me to go i know what im like, i will end up taking nothing else. luckily my OH is really calm in stressful situations so i think he will be great.

im not sure ty, but i think i am gna test that out! they obv still have formula in the building because they still give it to special care babies etc so i very much doubt they would let baby starve!
I think they would prob be really funny with you tho!

when andrew was on the paediatric ward when he was 2 weeks old they supplied the little glass bottles of about 3oz of formula for the babies on the ward so if worst came to worst you could always askf or some of that. im sure they would supply you with formula if you had faulty boobies! Very Happy
